BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Thrashers had enough problems

with the Boston Bruins on their home ice.

The Thrashers now travel to TD Banknorth Garden to complete

their home-and-home series against the Bruins on Saturday.

Boston scored early and often Friday to make quick work of

woeful Atlanta.

Phil Kessel extended his points streak to 14 games with a goal

and two assists and defenseman Mark Stuart posted the first

two-goal performance of his career as the Bruins cruised to a

7-3 triumph over the Thrashers.

Milan Lucic and Michael Ryder recorded a goal and an assist

apiece while David Krejci and Marc Savard each set up a pair of

tallies for Boston, which scored on four of its first five shots

en route to improving to 15-2-1 in its last 18 games.

Stephane Yelle and captain Zdeno Chara also scored and Tim

Thomas made 30 saves for the Bruins, who have won four straight

meetings with the Thrashers and own a 10-1-1 record at home.

Todd White notched a goal and an assist, defenseman Boris

Valabik netted his first career tally and Vyacheslav Kozlov also

scored for Atlanta, which fell to 0-4-2 in its last six at home
