Three clubs bidding to host 2010 Memorial Cup

CALGARY - Three clubs have submitted proposals to host the 2010 Memorial Cup, the Western Hockey League announced Friday.

The Brandon Wheat Kings, Everett Silvertips and Kelowna Rockets each are vying to host the tournament.

Bid presentations will be held on Oct. 15 in Calgary, with the WHL Board of Governors unveiling their decision afterwards.

The Memorial Cup is a CHL event which features the champions of the Ontario Hockey League, QMJHL and WHL competing in a four team tournament format with the WHL host club.
