Toronto Maple Leafs sign captain Mats Sundin to one-year contract

A source says the 36-year-old captain has signed a one-year deal worth US$5.5 million.

Sundin has been with the Maple Leafs since the 1994-95 season.

He is coming off a season in which he had 27 goals and 76 points.

Sundin has had no fewer than 72 points each of his last 11 seasons.
