The Carolina Hurricanes have not had the kind of season they hoped for in 2011-12. But one player taking strides forward is rookie blueliner Justin Faulk.

The 19-year-old defenseman has four goals and 11 points in 35 games. More importantly, the Minnesota native is playing in all situations for the Canes.’s Rory Boylen caught up with the Carolina rookie in Ottawa to discuss his all-star experience and more.
