Connor McDavid was granted exceptional status in 2012-13, which enabled him to join the Ontario League one year early. He didn’t give OHL commissioner David Branch any reason to regret the decision. McDavid averaged more than a point per game in his rookie campaign, finishing the year with 25 goals and 66 points in 63 games.

THN’s Ryan Kennedy caught up with McDavid at the 2013 BioSteel camp to discuss learning from the pros, Team Canada’s summer camp, what to expect from the Erie Otters in 2013-14 and more.
