With the seventh overall selection in the NHL draft, the Jets took Mark Scheifele higher than expected. The 6-foot-3, 175-pound center has a projectable frame and is coming off a strong season in which he tallied 75 points in 66 games for the OHL's worst team, the Barrie Colts.

After being selected, Scheifele answered questions from the media eager to hear what Winnipeg's first draft choice had to say about the honor.
