Wade Dubielewicz makes 30 saves as Aeros top Heat 3-1

HOUSTON - Wade Dubielewicz made 30 saves for Houston as the Aeros beat the Abbotsford Heat 3-1 in American Hockey League play Monday.

Houston (24-19-7) jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first period on goals from Chad Rau and Nathan Smith.

Staffan Kronwall got one back for Abbotsford (21-22-7) on the power play early in the second, before Cody Almond streched the Aeros' lead to 3-1 after two.

Abbotsford outshot Houston 14-1 in the third but couldn't get anything past Dubielewicz.

David Shantz made 15 saves in defeat for the Heat.
