NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Defenceman Mike Green scored had a goal and an assist to lead the Washington Capitals to a 2-1 exhibition victory over the Nashville Predators on Saturday night.

Green opened the scoring on a power play at 3:21 of the first period.

Matt Halischuk tied it for Nashville (1-2) in the second, and Jay Beagle scored in the third for Washington (2-0). The Capitals played without star Alex Ovechkin.
