It's hard to believe that at one point this season, Gustav Nyquist scored just once in an 18-game stretch.

Lately, it seems every time he blinks, the puck finds the back of the net. The Detroit Red Wings' 24-year-old meteor, who was named the NHL's first star for the week ending March 24, scored 12 times in 15 March games and 11 in his past nine.

He punctuated his red-hot month on Sunday with one of the prettiest goals of this or any season when, after being hooked by Bolts defender Matt Carle, he scored from Row 3 of the Joe Louis Arena.

Goal of the year? It's in the running. Where do you think it ranks?
