Winless through their first four games of this season, the New Jersey Devils used a little three-on-three overtime magic to best the New York Rangers 2-1 for their first victory of 2015-16 on Sunday afternoon.
With two minutes to go in OT, Rangers center Derek Stepan first rang a high-slot wrist shot off the post. On the transition, Devils defenseman Andy Greene fed left winger Adam Henrique with a stretch pass, then Henrique entered the offensive zone, passed cross-ice to right winger Lee Stempniak, who one-timed the winning goal past a helpless New York goaltender Henrik Lundqvist.
