Wild defenceman Stoner has hernia surgery in Germany; Full recovery expected

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota Wild announced Friday defenceman Clayton Stoner has undergone successful hernia surgery.

General Manager Chuck Fletcher says Stoner had the surgery in Munich, Germany. He is scheduled to return to Minnesota on Saturday evening.

Stoner made the trip to Germany to visit a surgeon who promised a speedy recovery.

The team says he is expected to be fully recovered in two-to-four weeks.
