DENVER - Justin Williams had a goal and an assist, Jonathan Bernier had 21 saves and the Los Angeles Kings opened the pre-season with a 4-2 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday night.

John Zeiler, Brad Richardson and Michael Handzus also scored for the Kings, who overcame a 2-0 deficit.

Kyle Quincey had a goal and an assist, and Phillipe Dupuis also scored for Colorado (1-1).
