EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) Side Bet Hanover and Celebrity Eventsy raced to upset victories in the eliminations for the $500,000 Hambletonian Oaks in the slop Saturday night at the Meadowlands Racetrack.

The top five in each $50,000 elimination for 3-year-old trotting fillies advanced to the Aug. 6 final, part of the undercard for the $1 million Hambletonian.

The two elimination winners will select their spots when post positions are determined Monday. The other eight participate in a random draw.

Side Bet Hanover pulled a 38-1 stunner, beating 2-5 favorite Caprice Hill by a head.

Corey Callahan drove for trainer Jonas Czernyson as Side Bet Hanover paid $78.20 to win.

Dream Child, Black Broadway and Windowshopper also advanced.

Celebrity Eventsy took the other elim at 5-1 with Hall of Fame driver John Campbell at the lines for trainer Staffan Lind. She paid $12.60 to win.

All The Time, Broadway Donna, Double Exposure and Wildflower completed the field for the final.
