The Dodgers have reached agreement with Vicente Padilla on a one-year deal, SI.com has confirmed. The deal is for $5 million, SI.com has learned.

The Dodgers, who lost out for Joel Pineiro to the crosstown Angels a day ago, still could be in the market for one more starter.

Padilla joined the Dodgers late last season after being let go by the Rangers and went 4-0 with a 3.20 ERA. In the playoffs, he won the Division Series clincher by tossing seven shutout innings against the Cardinals and also pitched well against the Phillies in Game 2 of the NLCS, allowing just one run in 7 1/3 innings before being hit hard in Game 5.

News of the agreement was first reported by MLB.com
