Weaver agrees to minor-league deal with Dodgers

Starting pitcher Jeff Weaver has agreed to a minor-league deal with the Dodgers, sources confirm.

Weaver, who went 6-4 with a 3.65 ERA while resurrecting his career last year with the Dodgers, will sign a minor-league deal with a good opportunity to be on Joe Torre's staff again.

Weaver, a native of Simi Valley, Calif., has had a couple tours with the Dodgers and one with the Angels while younger brother Jered has been with the Angels his whole career.

News of the deal was first mentioned by Yahoo.
