RHP Wang, Nats agree to terms

The Washington Nationals have signed former New York Yankees right-hander Chien-Ming Wang to a contract, SI.com confirms.

The agreement was first reported by the Boston Globe and MLB.com.

The Nationals will hold a press conference Friday at their spring training compound in Viera, Fla.

Some suggest Wang, who is returning after arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder cut short his 2009 season, could be back pitching by mid-May.

Wang is abritration-eligible following next season and not a free agent until after 2011.
