A-Rod to be interviewed over poker reports

The commissioner's office is planning to interview Alex Rodriguez after reports surfaced that the Yankees' third baseman took part in some illegal poker games.

In a statement, Major League Baseball said, "We take this matter very seriously and have been investigating it since the initial investigation."

Rodriguez is currently on the disabled list with a knee injury. He is batting .295 with 13 home runs and 52 RBIs but hasn't played since July 7.
