MINNEAPOLIS (AP) CC Sabathia's return to the New York Yankees' rotation is being delayed because he had swelling in his injured right knee after making his second rehabilitation start.

Sabathia made a start for Double-A Trenton on Wednesday. He had an MRI on Thursday. The left-hander has been out with a degenerative cartilage problem nearly two months.

Also, the Yankees have sent third baseman Yangervis Solarte to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and replaced him with Zelous Wheeler, who will make his major league debut.

Wheeler's contract was selected Thursday from the club's top minor league team.

He was in the lineup at Minnesota, starting at third base and batting eighth.

The 27-year-old Wheeler was drafted by Milwaukee and also played in Baltimore's system. He was in his eighth minor league season.
