MLB announced Seattle Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager will replace Edwin Encarnacion of the Toronto Blue Jays on the American League All-Star Game roster.

Encarnacion was placed on the disabled list Monday with a strained quadriceps that could keep him off the field for up to one month. The 31-year old has 26 home runs and 21 doubles to make his second consecutive All-Star Game.

Seager is on pace for a career year, batting .274/.347/.483 with 13 home runs and 59 RBI. His previous best was 22 home runs in 2013. This will be his first All-Star team.
