Tuesday July 22nd, 2014

Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig and shortstop Hanley Ramirez had X-rays on their left wrist and left hand, respectively, come back negative on Monday, the team announced. But both were held out of L.A.'s starting lineup against the Pirates in Pittsburgh.

10 bold predictions (plus playoff picks!) for the rest of the MLB season

Puig and Ramirez were hit by pitches during the team's weekend series in St. Louis. Both players are considered day-to-day.

Matt Kemp played right field for the first time in five years on Monday, while Andre Ethier played center for the Dodgers. Justin Turner filled in at shortstop for Ramirez.

The 23-year-old Puig is hitting .308/.396/.519 in 92 games this season, while Ramirez, 30, is hitting .273/.372/.463 in 86 games.
