The Dodgers are reportedly in pursuit of yet another pitcher, according to multiple media reports including one from Bill Shaikin of The Los Angeles Times.

The news comes in the same week that Los Angeles traded for Roberto Hernandez because of concerns over the health of Josh Beckett, who is on the 15-day disabled list with a hip impingement and groin strain. General manager Ned Colletti said in Shaikin's report that "there's another pitcher out there we're trying to get," to replace swingman Paul Maholm, who is out for the season with an ACL tear in his knee.

The Dodgers also this week signed pitcher Bruce Billings to a minor league deal. Colletti said he would like to add back-of-the-rotation arms and late-inning relievers. Los Angeles remains atop the NL West heading into Saturday's game in Milwaukee vs. the Brewers.
