Monday March 30th, 2015

The Philadelphia Phillies have moved Ben Revere from centerfield to leftfield, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer

Revere, who spent all of last season in center, has played his last seven spring training games in left.

Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg said the move is official "barring anything that could come up."

Odubel Herrera, a Rule 5 selection who the team got from the Rangers, will be the team's centerfielder to start the year.

Revere had a .988 fielding percentage in 141 games in center last season, committing four errors.

Sandberg also announced on Sunday that Cole Hamels will be Philadelphia's Opening Day Starter.
