Reds RHP Mike Leake has no-hit bid broken up in 7th inning

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Cincinnati Reds right-hander Mike Leake has a no-hitter through six innings against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Leake retired his first 11 batters Wednesday night before walking Chase Utley on a close 3-2 pitch in the fourth. Leake hopped off the mound, thinking it was strike three. He walked Carlos Ruiz in the sixth.

Leake has thrown 84 pitches and has five strikeouts. The other outs have been routine. Jeff Francoeur's liner to center to end the sixth was the hardest out.

Leake was 0-3 with a 12.86 ERA in his previous three starts.
