Giants pitcher Chris Heston throws no-hitter against Mets
San Francisco Giants pitcher Chris Heston threw a no-hitter against the New York Mets on Tuesday in only the 13th start of his career.
It is the first no-hitter of the 2015 season and the 17th in Giants history.
The Mets had three base-runners on the night, all of which came via hit-by-pitch. Ruben Tejada and Lucas Duda were hit by pitches in the fourth inning, and Anthony Recker was hit to lead off the ninth. Heston struck out 11 and walked none over 110 pitches. He also went 2-for-4 with two RBIs at the plate to help the Giants win 5–0.
The game ended on a strikeout by Tejada.
Heston's no-hitter is the first against the Mets in New York since 1969.

San Francisco has now had a no-hitter thrown in four straight seasons. Tim Lincecum no-hit the San Diego Padres in both 2013 and '14 and Matt Cain threw a perfect game in '12.
Last month, Atlanta Braves pitcher Shelby Millercame within one out of throwing a no-hitter against the Miami Marlins.
MLB has not had a perfect game since Felix Hernandez threw one in 2012.
