Righthander Tim Lincecum will throw for multiple MLB scouts on Friday, reports MLB Network’s Jon Heyman.

Lincecum, 31, is a free agent this season for the first time in his MLB career. He is attempting to return to the league after undergoing hip surgery in September.

In nine MLB seasons, all spent with the San Francisco Giants, Lincecum has posted a 108–83 record with a 3.61 ERA and 1,704 strikeouts.

Lincecum has not pitched in the majors since last June, after being hit by a line drive while pitching against the Colorado Rockies.​ He finished the 2015 campaign with a 7–4 record, a 4.13 ERA and 60 strikeouts in 76 1/3 innings over 15 starts.
