The Marlins have acquired veteran outfielder Jeff Francoeur from the Braves in a three-way trade also involving the Rangers, the teams announced on Wednesday.
Joel Sherman of the New York Post first reported the deal.
In the deal structure, the Braves will receive minor leaguer Dylan Moore from the Rangers and minor league catcher Matt Foley from the Marlins, and the Rangers will receive international signing money from the Marlins. The full details of the trade are below:
Francoeur, 32, entered Wednesday hitting .249 with seven home runs and 33 RBIs. The Marlins lost Giancarlo Stanton to injury last week, potentially for the rest of the season, and add outfield depth after being tied to Carlos Gomez, who joined the Rangers this week.
Moore has hit .263 with 14 home runs and 40 stolen bases across Single A and High A ball this season.
