The Los Angeles Angels have been doing their best this season to find the perfect mix of youth and veteran presences within their pitching staff as they try to find a solid mix amidst an important stretch of their season. LA is sitting at comfortable spot above .500 but still needs to reach the heights of the Rangers and Astros.

The Halos most recently called up Chase Silseth and even though he did not possess the length to be able to remain in the starting rotation but he has been able to find some comfort in the bullpen. Sam Bachman has also just been called up and he will serve as some relief depth after LA liking what they've seen from him in the minors.

Unfortunately, in order for LA to be able to welcome in Bachman to their roster, they had to let go of former San Fransisco fan favorite Reyes Moronta. The news was first reported by MLB Trade Rumors.

The hope was that Moronta would be able to rediscover himself during his time with the franchise but that never really happened. He was able to see action in just two games for a little over one inning and even his solid time in the minor leagues couldn't get him a solid role.

Moronta's first four years in the MLB with the San Fransisco Giants were his best as his ERA never dipped down below 2.90. Many baseball fans around the league still believe that he serves as a talented pitcher and that he could eventually find the perfect fit elsewhere.

We wish him the best of luck in his next chapter!
