Angels News: Jo Adell Believes He's Fully Ready To Help Halos Win

In this story:
As the Los Angeles Angels try to weather this injury storm that has taken hold of the organization, they also will finally get to see what outfield prospect Jo Adell can do. He will be with the team for an extended period of time now that star Mike Trout is out with an injury and the young player is ready to show what he can do. After lighting it up in Triple-A to start his career, Adell hasn’t exactly transferred those numbers to the biggest stage so far but this may be the chance that he has needed.
In Triple-A this season, Adell has hit .271 with 23 home runs and 55 runs batted in. With the limited time that he has been with the Angels, Adell has been solid. He is hitting .375 with one home run and three runs batted in over three games played. It's a good start for him and if he can continue this level of production, it would go a long way for the Halos. He believes this is his time to shine and is determined to prove it.
“To be quite honest with you, I think I’ve had enough moments now to where you could say that I’m a factor,” Adell said. “I can be in a lineup and play and help a team win. I don’t really think it’s ‘Can I be here?’ It’s not a ‘happy to be here’ thing. I’m more than ready to help and do my job.”

The former first round pick has a few weeks to prove his worth with Trout out. This could go along way for the trajectory of his career. And he has supporters in the organization, including manager Phil Nevin, which should help things.
“He’s proven himself as a quality major league outfielder,” Nevin said. “I’m looking forward to seeing it.”

Adell will continue to be aggressive at the plate and see what he can do. This is a make or break time for the young player and the Angels need him to come through. They are fighting for their playoff lives and he could end up being one of the biggest pieces in that fight.
