Angels superstar Mike Trout has been one of the best players in baseball over the last few seasons. He's been the best player in baseball since he burst onto the scene in 2012, but the only reason he doesn't have that title over the last few years is because of his injuries.

Trout has made the All-MLB First Team in three of the last four years (it became a thing four years ago), only missing it in 2021 when he played in just 36 games due to injury.

Last year, Trout had a phenomenal season, becoming just the sixth player in MLB history to hit 40 or more home runs in 120 or fewer games in a season — if he was able to stay healthy, he, like his teammate Shohei Ohtani, may have given Aaron Judge a run for that American League MVP Award.

However, Trout struggled with a rare back injury, that was expected to affect him for the remainder of his career. But not only was Trout able to return last season, he was able to play pain-free. And when he spoke to Chris "Mad Dog" Russo on the MLB Network, he said he's feeling "100%" heading into next season.

"Nothing kills me more than having a great season and an injury derail it," Trout said. "I feel great right now. 100%. Haven’t felt my back since when I came back. Obviously dealt with it a little bit when I first came back after getting back. But I feel great. I feel 100%, ready to go."

That's great news for Angels fans, as a healthy Trout is one of the keys to a strong season in 2023. Trout has made it clear his main goal is getting to the postseason next year, and if he can stay healthy, the Angels will have a really good chance of doing just that — and Trout may even have a shot at a fourth MVP Award.
