As we approach the 2023 season, your Los Angeles Angels will look to be a competitive baseball team. However, the big dark cloud of Shohei Ohtani's looming free agency weighs heavily on the team. As much as you try not to focus on it, it's there, and it remains a mystery where the two-way superstar may land.

Ohtani will be looking at big money this offseason, whether with the Angels or another team. But how much money will Ohtani exactly be getting? Well, Instagram page MLB elites took it into their own hands and broke down what an Ohtani contract could look like, and it is an astronomical amount.

The total amount for that type of contract would be 18 years, worth $563 million. Although the amount of years is unrealistic, the dollar amount certainly is.

The two-way superstar is just that, an elite pitcher, who is at worst top five in that position, and an elite slugger who hits for power and could hit it anywhere on the field. The 28-year-old is the modern-day Babe Ruth, who could be the greatest baseball player to ever step onto the field.

He is in his prime and has shown no signs of slowing down. To think that Ohtani doesn't deserve that type of money is blasphemy. He deserves just that and more; the only question is which team is willing to spend that much on the pitcher and hitter.

Time will tell; let's hope that team will be the Angels.
