Another domino has fallen during this MLB hot stove season. The Arizona Diamondbacks have traded David Peralta to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for prospect Christian Cerda, per MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.

Peralta is slashing .248/.316/.460 on the 2022 MLB season, a slight drop from his career numbers. Still, he is a valuable asset for teams looking for veteran outfield help.

Tampa Bay is giving up a 19-year-old catcher in Christian Cerda. The righty boasts a .983 OPS in the Florida Complex League this season through 54 at-bats. Cerda is not a top-30 prospect in Tampa Bay's system but does have some loud tools.
