The Blue Jays may be well represented at the 2021 MLB All Star Game.

In the newest voting update, Toronto first basemen Vlad Guerrero Jr. and second basemen Marcus Semien both lead their respective positions in All Star voting. Guerrero continues to lead all players in league-wide total votes.

Guerrero has received almost 50% of the American League first base votes, with no other AL 1B receiving more than 10% of the vote at the position.

Semien, the MLB's second base leader in WAR thus far, has received 35% of the total votes for 2B. He is ahead of Houston's Jose Altuve by 14%, with New York's DJ LeMahieu in third at the position.

Other Blue Jays to receive significant votes were Bo Bichette (second in AL SS voting), Teoscar Hernandez (fifth in AL OF) and Randal Grichuk (7th in AL OF). Lourdies Gurriel Jr. also garnered 6% of the vote for American League designated hitters, but Los Angeles' Shohei Ohtani leads the voting at that position with 35%.

The top three vote getters for all positions (top nine for outfielders) move on to the next round of voting, where the positional starters are selected. If Phase 1 voting ended today, Guerrero, Semien, Bichette, Hernandez, and Grichuk would all move on. The first phase of voting ends this Sunday at noon ET.
