The Blue Jays have dodged a massive bullet.

After exiting Monday's game with right knee inflammation, Bo Bichette's MRI follow-up revealed "no significant structural damage" to the injury, per manager John Schneider.

Bichette is still sore, per Schneider, and won't play Tuesday versus the Orioles. An injured list stint is still possible, but the Blue Jays likely won't make an official move until after Tuesday's 6 p.m. ET trade deadline.

Before the positive news regarding Bichette was announced, Toronto made an insurance move by trading for Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong. DeJong likely won't be activated until Wednesday.
