Current White Sox closer Liam Hendriks only played 58 games with Josh Donaldson, but apparently wasn't impressed with his behavior.

Hendriks — Donaldson's teammate during the 2015 Blue Jays season — told NBC Sports Chicago on Thursday that he's "not a fan" of the former AL MVP.

"Playing with Donaldson," Hendriks said. "I am not a Donaldson fan. On the field, one of the greatest. You want him on the team behind you. But I saw behind the curtain too much, and I'm not a fan."

Donaldson, now with the Minnesota Twins, started the beef on June 30 by trash-talking White Sox starter Lucas Giolito after hitting a home run. Donaldson mocked Giolito's loss of spin-rate with a celebration referencing "sticky stuff," then took shots at him later in a rather candid post-game interview.

Hendriks had two short stints with the Blue Jays in 2014 and 2015. He pitched to a 3.46 ERA in 78 innings in Toronto.

Donaldson, of course, is more well-known in Toronto. After being acquired for a package including Canadian third baseman Brett Lawrie, The Bringer of Rain turned in a remarkable Blue Jays career that saw him hit 116 home runs over four seasons and earn the 2015 AL MVP award.
