The at-bat that started it all for Chipper Jones and the Atlanta Braves.

The at-bat that started it all.

This is the perfect moment to look back on as the first ever Throwback Thursday on Braves Today.

Chipper Jones started out hitting 1.000 after hitting the ball short to the third baseman that was unable to make a throw in time.

Our friends at Braves On TBS social media account went deep in the Atlanta Braves archives and shared the first at-bat for Atlanta Braves legend Chipper Jones.

Jones sported record 2,726 hits, including 468 home runs, and 1,623 RBIs. His career batting average was .303.

“And now the first Major League at-bat for one of the most highly-touted prospects in all of baseball - Chipper Jones.” - Pete Van Wieren

Since playing baseball, he was inducted into the Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame and is now a hitting consultant for the team.
