Today the Dodgers officially announce the return of Gavin Stone  who was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City. He'll make his second career MLB start today against the Atlanta Braves. To make room for Stone on the active roster, the team had to make a couple of roster moves.

First, Clayton Kershaw was officially placed on the bereavement leave list, but he'll be back before his next start on Saturday in Tampa Bay.

In addition, reliever Tayler Scott has joined the team while Wander Suero was designated for assignment.

Stone will have his work cut out for him against the powerhouse Braves lineup, who are tied with the Dodgers with 29 wins this season. In his MLB debut earlier this month, Stone pitched 4 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Stone has been impressive in 2 starts since returning to AAA, allowing just 3 earned runs over 11 innings.

On the other hand, Suero struggled in Sunday's game against the Cardinals, giving up a 3 run homer in the loss. His time on the roster had run its course.

As for Scott, the journeyman pitcher has been impressive at Triple-A this season with a 1.06 ERA over 16 games with OKC. The 31-year-old signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers over the winter. He's struggled in brief MLB opportunities, posting an 11.12 ERA over 21 staggered appearances.
