Dodgers News: Mookie Betts Lands in Top 5 MLB Players Right Now List

MLB Network continued its countdown of the top 100 players in baseball right now on Thursday night and named Dodgers' all-star right fielder Mookie Betts as the fourth best player in the game heading into 2023. Mookie is coming off a season where he hit a career-high 35 home runs and helped lead the Dodgers to a franchise-best 111 win season.
Mookie was joined by teammate Freddie Freeman in the top 10 of the top 100 list. Other Dodgers on the list included Clayton Kershaw (81), Julio Urias (50), and catcher Will Smith (42).
Mike Trout (Angels), Aaron Judge (Yankees) and future Dodger Shohei Ohtani (Angels) topped the list for the 2023 season.
The Dodgers kick off the spring training season this Saturday against the Brewers where Mookie Betts will lead off for Los Angeles before leaving camp to join Team USA in the World Baseball Classic.
