Dodgers Notes: Shohei Ohtani Injured, LA Semi Doubleheader, and More
The Dodgers got awkwardly rained out on Wednesday, playing just two innings and wasting a Clayton Kershaw start. They'll begin play early on Thursday leading the Guardians 3-1 with a newly scheduled semi doubleheader before heading to Boston for a three game series.
First pitch for game one is set for 9:10 AM PT and the second game will start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.
While the weather was newsworthy in Cleveland, the bad news rained in Anaheim after the Angels announced that superstar Shohei Ohtani has re-torn the UCL in his pitching elbow and will not pitch again this season. He may be forced to undergo a second Tommy John surgery, but more info will be coming on the now full time DH in the coming days. More details on Ohtani's injury can be found here.
