The field is painted. The Dodger dogs are cooking. The peanuts are getting packed. And Dodger Stadium is getting set. After a long offseason of waiting, Opening Day of the 2023 season is finally here.

With Opening Day here, we also finally have the official 26-man roster for the 2023 season. Although we thought we knew what it was going to look like, an unfortunate injury to RHP Ryan Pepiot changed things up a little bit. Pepiot is opening the season on the injured list, and RHP Michael Grove is taking his place. Aside from that, though, the rest is what we expected.

Here's how the entire Dodgers roster will look on Opening Day, broken up into the different positional categories.

Catchers (2): Will Smith, Austin Barnes

Infielders (4): Freddie Freeman, Miguel Vargas, Miguel Rojas, Max Muncy

Outfielders (6): Mookie Betts, Chris Taylor, James Outman, David Peralta, Trayce Thompson, Jason Heyward

Designated Hitter (1): J.D. Martinez

Starting Pitchers (5): Julio Urias, Dustin May, Clayton Kershaw, Noah Syndergaard, Michael Grove

Right-Handed Relievers (6): Evan Phillips, Brusdar Graterol, Yency Almonte, Shelby Miller, Andre Jackson, Phil Bickford

Left-Handed Relievers (2): Alex Vesia, Caleb Ferguson

So there you have it — 13 hitters and 13 pitchers later, the 26-man roster is officially set.

Urias, of course, is getting the nod on Opening Day, and with RHP Zac Gallen on the mound for the Diamondbacks, expect a lefty-heavy outfield.

But at this point, I don't think Dodger fans care who's in the lineup — they're just happy to finally get to watch meaningful baseball again.
