If anyone has never told you that hitting a baseball is hard, well, hitting a baseball is hard. The art of hitting a round ball with a round bat squarely can make people a whole lot of money if they can do it. But then you see pitches like the one Dodgers rookie Bobby Miller threw to Yankees star Giancarlo Stanton and nothing makes sense.

100 miles per hour. At the knees. No chance. Stanton was frozen.

Look at this absolute filth from the home plate umpire's view.

Absurd.

For reference, here's a look at that pitch from the traditional camera angle at Dodger Stadium.

Bobby Miller ended up striking out 7 Yankees on Sunday including Stanton twice. He tossed 6 scoreless innings but came away with the no decision in the Dodger loss.

The start of Miller's MLB career has been beyond exceptional with the right-hander posting a 1.06 ERA over his first three starts and 17 innings pitched. The former first round pick is looking like a potential future ace and someone the Dodgers couldn't stand to remove from the starting rotation any time soon.

He'll continue his rookie campaign against the Phillies next weekend in Philadelphia.
