Cleveland Indians second basemen Jason Kipnis is back, and according to Indians radio announcer Tom Hamilton he's traveling to Chicago to be a part of the team for their weekend series against the Chicago White Sox.

Kipnis has yet to take the field for the Tribe in 2017, and was shut down for a few weeks with an inflamed shoulder back on March 19th.

Last season he hit a career-high 23 homers to go along with a .275 average with 82 runs batted in.

The Indians will play three against the White Sox before coming home to start a homestand against the Houston Astros on Tuesday after an off day on Monday.
