Anibal Sanchez left Saturday's game against the Twins after 2 2/3 innings with a blister on his right middle finger.

Sanchez had been cruising before the blister formed, holding the Twins hitless and striking out two. With two outs in the third and a full count on Brian Dozier, the Tigers dugout noticed something, and the trainer came out to check on Sanchez. The recently promoted Jose Ortega came on in relief. Blisters can have a way of lingering on occasion, but this should not be something that causes Sanchez to miss a start. He has never had issues with blisters in the past, so the Tigers can be confident that he will be able to take the ball against the Astros on Wednesday.
