Negotiations continue to be the story in Major League Baseball. And after commissioner Rob Manfred said he is no longer optimistic about a season, fans are upset. Manfred put the blame on the players, but player agent Joel Wolfe has a different take.

Sports Illustrated host Robin Lundberg took a look at the latest in the seemingly never-ending back and forth between baseball's players and owners in today's edition of Hot Clicks.

Robin Lundberg: Hey, it's everyone's favorite topic. Major League Baseball money negotiations. I kid. Fans have clearly made it known they are unhappy with the current state of MLB. And while Commissioner Rob Manfred said he is no longer optimistic about the season and pass the blame to the players, player agent Joel Wolfe has a different take, saying, "The Marlins played without fans for 15 years, yet still managed to give a player the biggest contract in sports history." Giancarlo Stanton, of course, and then sold the team for a billion dollar profit with five competing buyers. At this point, I don't know if it is worth putting money on there being a season, but if there isn't one, we do know baseball fans will be pointing to money as the reason.
