In an interview with TMZ Sports, UFC president Dana White said he is in the process of "securing a private island," to host UFC fights during the coronavirus pandemic. “I’m a day or two away from securing a private island. We're getting the infrastructure put in place now. So as of April 18, the UFC is back up and running.” White says foreign fighters who are not allowed into the United States will be flown to the island to fight. If all goes as planned, White’s hope is to “be pumping out fights every week” Justin Gaethje will take the place of lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov to fight Tony Ferguson in UFC 249 on April 18. The event will take place without fans in attendance.
