In an upset, Twitter CFO Anthony Noto—who used to hold the same job at the NFL—engineered a win over Facebook to stream 10 NFL games live this season. And make no mistake: This was a Noto deal, forged through his relationship with the league and Twitter agreeing to play totally by the NFL’s rules. Noto knows the power of the NFL, and we’ll soon see the power of the social media platform.
