In the span of a few weeks, he went from being Peyton Manning’s presumptive successor in Denver to the face of the franchise in Houston. No pressure, man. Brock Osweiler has said all the right things since signing a four-year, $72 million deal that has the Texans dreaming big and the Broncos entering the season with unproven Trevor Siemian. But there’s a good chance Osweiler’s late-season benching in Denver last year—even if it was for a first-ballot Hall of Famer—has provided some extra fuel for the next chapter of his career.
