Zetterberg tops Sunday's Stars

1.Henrik Zetterberg, Red Wings: As the game of last year's Conn Smythe winner shifts into high gear, the series has tilted heavily in Detroit's favor. The score sheet noted a goal and two assists from Zetty in Sunday's 4-1 (BOXRECAP) victory over the Ducks, but it couldn't capture another exemplary defensive effort that helped limit Anaheim to just 17 shots.

2.Phil Kessel, Bruins: Boston staved off elimination in emphatic fashion, beating the Hurricanes 4-0 (BOX | RECAP). Kessel was one of several frontliners who finally stepped up, ending a four-game scoring drought on the strength of his skating. Time and again, Kessel kept the wheels rolling through the forest of Carolina defenders until he found some open space, and twice he was rewarded with a huge expanse of net to shoot at. Funny how that works, eh, Phil?

3. Jonas Hiller, Ducks: Watching the Wings tear through Anaheim's tissue paper defense in Game 5, it's hard to believe the series is returning to The Pond for Game 6. Then, of course, you realize that Hiller has been the most noticeable player on the ice in four of the five contests. He wasn't able to steal this one, but he put on a memorable show. He was at his best in the first, keeping the game scoreless despite a 14-3 shot advantage for Detroit.
