JOHANNESBURG (AP) -- Key batsmen for India and Pakistan have suffered hand injuries just days before their highly anticipated clash at the ICC Champions Trophy tournament in South Africa on Saturday.

Big-hitting Indian middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh fractured a finger on his right hand on Wednesday at a fielding practice session at the university ground in Johannesburg.

Last Friday, Pakistan captain Younis Khan fractured the little finger on his right hand while going for a catch in the slips during a warm-up game against the West Indies. Khan is hoping to be ready to play in his side's second game, against India in Centurion.

Pakistan is being led by Shahid Afridi in his absence and began its Champions Trophy campaign against the West Indies on Wednesday.
