Redskins coach Jim Zorn did not rule out the possibility of the Redskins pursuing Larry Johnson. He said the team has had internal discussions this morning and will continue to talk about the troubled running back. Zorn said the team will likely sign a running back if Clinton Portis can't play -- he specifically mention Quinton Ganther, whom the team released last Friday. Cuban denies interest in Dodgers
Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said a story in Los Angeles linking him as a potential buyer of the Dodgers has "no substance." The Dodgers are not for sale, but the divorce between Frank and Jamie McCourt raises questions about team's future. Jackson's agent: Nellie can't be trusted
A day after Stephen Jackson's agent questioned coach Don Nelson's honesty and the state of the franchise in an ESPN report, Warriors management and even Jackson tried to sidestep questions about the article. In an online story that appeared Monday, ESPN twice referenced that Jackson's agent, Mark Stevens, had the obvious agenda of trying to get his client traded with his comments. The inflammatory remarks flew, anyway. "No one trusts Don Nelson," Stevens told ESPN's Chris Broussard. "When Nelson was in Milwaukee, Wayne Embry trusted him and brought him in, and he betrayed Embry. In Dallas, Mark Cuban took damn good care of him and his son, and he betrayed Cuban. "In Golden State, Chris Mullin hired him and trusted him, and Nelson backstabbed him by reaching out to president Robert Rowell and blaming Mullin for everything that was going wrong with the Warriors."
