Brian Mitchell knows a little something about facing a division rival for whom he once played, and he can see how playing for revenge might enter the equation for Donovan McNabb. Shortly after news broke of his trade from Philadelphia to Washington, McNabb spoke to Mitchell on the phone. "In his voice I heard a lot of enthusiasm," Mitchell reported on Comcast SportsNet. "And you know, he may not be exactly like me, but I could hear he had a little revenge in that voice, too. And he wants to go to the Eagles and show them that they made a mistake." Early season losses shouldn't be cause for alarm, especially considering the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry of 2009, though it appears after one game that Joe Girardi has some figuring to do. In any case, no matter who's pitching, it seems these Yankees-Red Sox games seem to come down to the bullpens, and on this night, that was enough to make you ask: Chan Ho Park? He's the guy you want in the game holding a 7-5 lead in the seventh inning? Wasn't David Robertson supposed to be the next big thing in the Yankee bullpen? ... Hey, it's only one game, but it's not the way the Yankees wanted to start a defense of their championship, blowing a big lead against their archrivals, and the worry is that when the bullpen becomes an issue, it tends to stay an issue. LeBron ready for Celtics rematch
After nearly shocking the Celtics in a game Boston seemed to have wrapped up, LeBron James sounded like a guy who wanted to go out there and play another one right away. The Cavs certainly have some issues to deal with but it didn't take the Celtics to remind him. It just gave something for Boston to chirp about and it seems LeBron is welcoming it. "This game has lost a little bit of that over the years," LeBron said, "All the talking and teams not liking one another. That is what I figured out last year when I walked off the court in Orlando. People were mad that I didn't shake hands. Why should I be happy? I'm disgusted that I lost. That is what the game has lost."
